Internal Business Consultant (Telemarketer)

We’re looking for a motivated and confident individual who is keen to advance their career in IT telemarketing to join our well established outbound opportunity generation function.   

You’ll be generating appointments for our field sales and account management teams with businesses who are looking to purchase a new ERP solution.  The main purpose of this role is to identify business needs and build a strong relationship with individuals through a consultative approach. 

You’ll receive support and training from the Telemarketing Team Leader and Senior Telemarketer to ensure you have the skills needed to achieve in this role and gain continued success as an Internal Business Consultant.


  • Make targeted telephone calls with a view to creating interest, generating leads, appointments and business opportunities. All data provided
  • Manage a set of companies of interest, building strong relationships and offering timely advice through their purchasing process
  • Establish key business drivers and needs for new software
  • Hit daily and monthly call and talk time KPIs
  • Update and verify information on the database during phone calls (such as turnover, address, current software, add new contacts when necessary)
  • Work closely with the field sales team and account managers to follow up opportunities generated.

The candidate


  • Two years relevant business to business telemarketing experience
  • Proven track record of hitting targets and performing under pressure
  • Worked in an environment where achievement of KPIs was vital
  • Good understanding of how businesses work
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good IT skills.
