Datel has a proven, three stage process to ensure we ask all the right questions, and involve you at the right time, in the right way and that we review and confirm our proposed solution to ensure it really will work. You can rely on this methodology to establish the most appropriate solution for your business.
These techniques and processes are assured by our independent assessment to ISO9001:2000 under the TickIT scheme by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance. Our certified quality management system has the necessary process-driven stage reviews built in. It also offers flexibility and acknowledges that, in a fast moving business world, circumstances can change quickly. In the end we know our reputation depends upon our ability to deliver on time and to the specified budgets.
Our proven management techniques ensure excellent communications, a thorough and open approach throughout all the projects we undertake within our three stage framework:
1. Understanding your business needs, developing and refining the solution. Working closely with your team we will help clarify your requirements, advise on how IT can best assist, build and document your solution.
Our initial proposal will set out:
- your business objectives for the new system
- key business pressures – timescales and budgets
- the areas where IT can add value
- hardware and software requirements
- current and anticipated data volumes
2. Clarifying and agreeing project requirements. Following detailed demonstrations of our initial proposals, and the review of any relevant reference projects, we will refine the proposed solution incorporating all your feedback.
Our process includes:
- outcomes of workshops considering all key areas
- agreement on specific software modules
- understanding and definition of any customisation
- clarification of the infrastructure and any requirements
- advice and implementation of the service plan.
3. Agreement of the contract. The commercial and contractual terms of the project, once agreed, will be detailed in an equitable and clearly laid out document.
Our contracts specify:
- all requirements to be met
- the solution to be provided
- identifiable responsibilities
- agreed payment plan
- key performance indicators and agreed recourse in the event of any difficulties
