• How can I be sure I select the best business solution?

• How do you capture our company's full requirements for an ERP system or CRM system?

  When you are discussing the requirements of your new ERP system or CRM system our Business Consultants will conduct a structured Analysis of Business Requirements (ABR) exercise.  Through consultation with your business managers, a comprehensive requirements document is then put together and agreed by both parties.

• What about specific bespoke software requirements?

  If you have specific bespoke requirements one of our trained business analysts will meet with your relevant business managers to fully understand your needs. Often bespoke requirements can be resolved through adapting standard Sage systems or through Datel's FUSION range. If bespoke work is required a detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) document will be produced with the estimated days, a fixed price and delivery time scale.

Sage Implementation:

• How is the Sage implementation managed?

  Datel has a proven pragmatic approach to project management that is embodied in our ISO9000 approved quality management system. The methodology centres around two key documents, the Project Plan and the Project Issues List. Our experienced project managers will guide the Sage system implementation using these documents to ensure your ERP system or Customer Relationship Management system is delivered on time and budget.

• What are the biggest influences on success or failure of implementing ERP software or CRM software?

  People. You have people who understand your business. We have people who understand how to make software work in your business. Working together and to a project plan will deliver, but the relevant resources must be made available and applied as agreed. • How stressful is ‘going live’ on a new Sage system?

  Yes, this can be daunting, but again it is about planning. The project plan will ensure all relevant staff have received Sage training, trial runs for data transfer have been successful and everything is ready for ‘Go Live’. Datel will supply on site assistance to “hand hold” your staff, giving them confidence and practical assistance. Once your system is ‘Live’ Datel’s Sage Support Team will be on hand to support your Sage system.

Sage Data Migration:

• What about my existing business data?

  The business data that your company has built up over time can be migrated into your new Sage system but must be considered carefully. Datel conduct Data Migration Workshops to ascertain the quality, cleanliness and volume of data to be transferred into the Sage system and offer our advice and guidance to assist.

• What about the quality of the business data?

  Datel has standard import routines to load data in to your new Sage system, however this will not change the quality of the business data and therefore the customer must spend time structuring and cleaning the data.
