Graduate success at Datel
Name: Connie McCrudden
Job title: Project Manager
University of study: Edge Hill University
I officially joined Datel in September 2018 as a Graduate Project Manager. Before this from June 2018 I came in once per fortnight in order for me to get used to the role and meet my colleagues to get into the swing of full time working after being a student. During our first few months, we were provided with an induction plan as well as a clear development ‘path’ within the team. I began in the Project Admin team in order to gain an understanding of the underlying processes of the role. Once I was confident in this I developed to coordinating and managing my own projects for a number of customers.
I like that Datel always focuses on Staff morale, we have a number of events organised such as free themed food days, family fest as well as two ‘Company’ Do’s’ each year. There is always a social event planned which helps in building relationships with colleagues from all over the business.
Name: Chris Fox
Job title: Project Delivery Manager
University of study: The University of Manchester
I joined Datel as a Graduate Project Manager back in 2007. I was initially trained on our Project Administration activities and was also given an induction plan, which helped me to navigate around the various people and departments within the business. In my first 2 years, I completed the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification and the APM Project Management Qualification, which enabled me to become a fully qualified Project Manager. In 2016, I was promoted to the Service Delivery Manager - Sage X3 Programme, and just 9 months later I was further promoted to Projects Team Manager.
I’ve obviously been at Datel for a while now and I am still here because of my colleagues, some of which I am proud to call my friends. All around the business, people will go out of their way to help you and make you feel part of the Datel team.
