Our pre-sales consultants work closely with Datel's prospects and customers to help them to understand how our solutions can support their aspirations.
The main purpose of the role is to provide the technical expertise required to increase sales and shorten sales cycles. You’ll engage on in-depth fact-finding discovery sessions, providing technical response documentation, and delivering highly tailored, value-based product demonstrations in order to address the client's key business requirements, presenting in a variety of methods, mainly online, but occasionally face-to-face, through documented responses, recorded / video content or other means.
Presentations will range from 1-to-1 or 1-to-many scenarios with potential involvement in seminars and events. These presentations will be covering one of Sage’s flagship business management solutions (Sage 200, Sage Intacct or Sage X3).
You will collaborate with multiple teams at Datel with full involvement with our Sales team but also working closely with Marketing, Services, Support and R&D.
You’ll be client facing, self-motivated, flexible and happy to travel to client sites throughout the UK, if required.
You’ll be an excellent collaborator, working as part of the wider team (Sales, Projects, Support and Marketing) as well as a top-notch communicator capable of interacting with customers. You’ll also have past experience of delivering presentations to differing levels of stakeholder within a business.
You’ll be able to call upon strategic thinking skills to craft successful sales pitches and have excellent organisational skills to successfully manage your diary and be analytical to hone market and product knowledge to ensure you are delivering the right support, in the right way, at the right time.
Existing knowledge of Sage 200, Sage X3 or Sage Intacct would be very useful but is not mandatory.
Full UK driving licence is essential.

Our Sales teams work on several opportunities that span the New Business and existing customer base. Work will be varied and the opportunity to engage across several industry sectors is available. Product training covering Sage 200, Sage Intacct and Sage X3 will be given through to achieving Sage Certification (if desired).
You’ll be home-based in a role that that will involve working from home as well as travel to client sites when required. Reporting into our Sales Director, Tom James and working collaboratively with the rest of the Pre-Sales team. You’ll also have support and interaction with the wider team at Datel including the Executive team and the Sales function, to achieve your goals.
