This is a new role, based in our Warrington office, to assist our 50+ highly skilled Sage Support consultants on a daily basis.
We’re looking for someone with a keen interest in technology and software development, who’ll enjoy working with other technical experts in busy, customer-focused support function, reliant on maintaining customer connection details, building and supporting VM’s for VPN connection and test environments.
What you'll do
You’ll be involved in creating new VM’s, correcting and testing connections, updating our system details, housekeeping of our five support servers which currently hold over 200 test environments, 80 VPN VM’s and a number of production servers.
You’ll also be responsible for carrying out a number of daily checks for our customers, specifically looking at disk space and analysing/correcting any errors reported.
Working alongside one of our senior consultants, you’ll set up SQL maintenance plans and annual health checks.
What to bring
We’re looking for someone with prior experience in handling issues in Windows OS and knowledge of SQL Server and writing SQL statements, who is a personable problem solver with a genuine curiosity to improve their technical knowledge and gain new skills. If you have previous programming experience in Java, then great, but don’t worry if you haven’t – a desire to learn is equally fine.
You’ll have excellent communication skills, be able to deliver to deadlines and be prepared to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations and be able to multitask effectively.
