Software selection is delivered through a dedicated team of consultants who will come out to meet you and discuss your business requirements and strategy in detail before suggesting a solution. Our project management team is on hand throughout an implementation project, regardless of how big or small, to provide continuity throughout the process. Datel’s account management function provides you with a partner within Datel that can get to know your business and provide guidance on the ongoing strategy for your business systems.

Alan Simpson, Executive Chairman
Alan Simpson founded the company in 1981 when affordable business systems were a new concept and businesses needed help and guidance to get started with them. Since then the technology has changed but Datel’s approach hasn’t. Alan prides himself on building a consultative and collaborative culture within the business that enables the team to get close enough to our customers to build long term partnerships.
Andrew Pritchard, Managing Director
Andrew has over 25 years’ experience of working with Sage solutions and is focused on ensuring that we have the right people across the business to work with our customers. Andrew has a commitment to working with customers to find the right business technology to support future success and provide the services to support that journey.
Emma Pownall, Marketing Director
Emma and her team provide our customers with a range of events, guides and tools that bridge the gap between the people and the technology. From large conferences focused on connecting customers with each other and the software world, to sharing customer stories that explain what is possible with the right business solutions, their focus is on showcasing business success.
Nick Swarbrick, Finance Director
Nick is a focused and dedicated finance director that knows first hand how technology can enable success within a business. He’s a regular contributor at industry events and has a wealth of knowledge on financial best practice and business insight.
Paolo Arcangelo, Services Director
Paolo believes that Sage X3 is a powerful tool for change and growth within a business. He has built his implementation and delivery culture based on aligning strategic goals with the power of Sage X3. As head of the largest team of accredited Sage X3 consultants in the UK, Paolo’s focus is on enabling customers to utilise the industry and business experience they provide to deliver effective business solutions when it's right and relevant for the customer.
Tim Purcell, R&D Director
Tim’s interest and passion for emerging technologies and how they can assist businesses to be more successful is at the heart of Datel’s research and development. Tim’s growing team is focused on keeping abreast of technology, how it can benefit businesses and how we can satisfy any gaps in business system requirements. Datel’s own product range, Fusion, is authored from within this team through collaborating with customers on their changing needs.
Stuart Morland, Customer Support Director
Overseeing Support and Support Services, Stuart brings 22 years of working with Sage Partners in varied roles and has been at Datel since 2006. As Customer Support Director, Stuart is focused on delivering a first class customer experience and continues to grow and develop each of our Support teams, maintaining the high standard of service that our customers at Datel have come to appreciate.
Simon Newbon, Project Services Director
Simon is an APM qualified project manager and has built the project delivery teams with that knowledge and expertise at their core. He is passionate about quality in delivery, implementing business change in the correct way and building the right relationships to deliver project success. His teams include APM qualified project managers, Sage accredited applications consultants and a technical development team who are experts in system integration.
Tom James, Head of Sales
Tom James is an accomplished, solution-led Head of Sales, with over 15 years’ experience in selling ERP and managed solutions to businesses of all shapes and sizes. Tom loves nothing more than building new relationships with senior executives and learning about their business ambitions. With this in mind, Tom and his team of sales consultants and account managers, strive to meet their needs with an ERP solution that truly delivers and allows them to achieve their goals.
