After-dinner speaker confirmed for Connect 2017

To recognise the depth and breadth of success within our customer community, Datel will be hosting an awards dinner following Connect 2017.

The Inspiring Business Awards will highlight businesses achievements and awards will be presented by World Cup-winning England Rugby player Kyran Bracken, followed by an inspirational after-dinner speech.

Kyran’s success on and off the pitch echoes his drive and determination to achieve. His after-dinner speech will touch on his rugby success in the 2003 World Cup final against France, being crowned champion of Dancing on Ice in 2007, and his own experiences in business and what he believes the business world can learn from rugby.

More about Kyran Bracken

After completing his A-Levels, Kyran studied Law at Bristol University. He achieved a 2.1 and was offered a place at Bristol Law School, working as a trainee solicitor whilst playing rugby for Bristol RFC. It wasn't long before Kyran was snapped up by the Saracens, based in Watford, where he played out his career, enjoying two spells as captain.

In 2003, Kyran was an integral part of England’s World Cup winning team. The infamous game against France was his final England appearance. Then, in 2007, Kyran entered a new realm of sport – Dancing on Ice – and was crowned champion. Now, Kyran owns and runs a touring ice skating show, and is involved in many other business enterprises.

Connect 2017 is the largest Sage Business Partner event for Sage users. This free one-day conference, exhibition and networking awards dinner will connect you to the Sage user community.
