Connect 2019 – An opportunity to connect with Datel and Sage

At Datel, connecting our vast network of customers with each other and the people that influence product and services decisions within Datel and Sage is an important part of being a strategic Sage Business Partner.  One of the ways we do this is through Connect – an event hosted every two years that brings together the Sage community with a one day conference and networking dinner.  This year, Connect 2019 is focused on business ambition and success.  We are in a period of incredible transformation, and we will be exploring the areas of digital, business model and workforce transformation and how technology can support businesses to achieve their goals.

In front of an audience of 200 senior business leaders, Connect 2019 will be kicked off with an opening address from our Executive Chairman Alan Simpson, who founded Datel in 1981 and led the company to become the UK’s largest Sage business partner. Alan will open Connect 2019 with insight into what the event is about and share success stories from some of our ambitious customers.

Following this, Sage’s Jennifer Warawa will be taking to the stage to deliver her keynote speech, sharing compelling data and insights on the skills and technology the business of tomorrow will need to incorporate to be successful for the long term and how to build a strategy to incorporate this. In her role as EVP of Partners, Accountants & Alliance, Jennifer is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of Sage’s partner program worldwide and focuses on enabling partners to support their customers. In addition to being a popular keynote and session speaker at industry conferences, Jennifer has made the Accounting Today Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting consecutively for the last eight years and has been named one of the Top 24 Most Powerful Women in Accounting for the last five years.

The rest of the day is designed with our customers in mind, we understand that each business’ goals and ambitions will be different and we have tailored the agenda so you can select the sessions relevant to you and connect with the solutions that focus on what you are focused on.  Here are a few of the people involved in the day that you could meet:

Over in the Fusion Connect Lounge, attendees will have the opportunity to meet our R&D Director and the driving force behind our innovation, Tim Purcell. With over 20 years’ experience at Datel, Tim is passionate about working with technological advancements to transform customers’ operational effectiveness and will be on hand with his team to offer expert insight, answer questions and deliver in-depth demonstrations of the Datel Fusion product range.

Later in the day, Paolo Arcangelo will be taking to the stage to deliver a session outlining the potential of Sage Enterprise Management through phased implementation and strategic alignment. Paolo boasts over 20 years’ experience implementing ERP systems and works closely with numerous  departments at Datel in architecting solutions in their design and delivery phases to ensure expert implementation. During this session, he will also share how Datel can support customer’s needs with a tried and tested implementation methodology, migration tool kits and a team of world class migration experts.

Also on hand at Connect 2019 to discuss attendee’s business needs will be Andrew Pritchard. As Datel’s Managing Director, Andrew  is dedicated to ensuring our customers have the very best solution in place, plus the support and guidance they need from Datel to achieve their ambitious goals. Andrew will also be available to offer attendees invaluable advice and explore what sets Datel apart from the rest.

Debra Leland, Customer Support Director at Datel will be attending Connect 2019 to meet with existing or prospective customers.  Debra is passionate about delivering a high standard of customer service, and has been driving that passion throughout Datel for over 10 years. She is responsible for overseeing the Datel’s Customer Support Services – Support, Monitor, Assist and Manage – and ensures that Datel’s team members are fully accredited, meet our standard level agreements, maintain customer satisfaction and are on hand to help with queries from informational requests right through to system downs as effectively as possible. 

Connect 2019 attendees will also be able to meet with Sage’s Vice President of Product to discuss the latest Sage products in more detail. Rob Sinfield is a market and product strategist with a focus on identifying how to deliver intuitive, disruptive solutions that meet the ever changing technological and legislative landscape of today and tomorrow. With over 20 years of experience in the Enterprise space, Rob works closely with Datel’s product and R&D teams to develop and deliver innovative products that drive efficiency for its customers.
