Datel announces extension to Helping Hand service
At Datel, our free Helping Hand service has been providing additional support to Sage users during this time and we'd like to continue that extra help for longer. Therefore we're delighted to announce that we've extended the end-date of our temporary Helping Hand service to the 30th August 2020.
So if you've got furloughed employees, and need a little help with your Sage solution - please complete the form below to sign up for our free service. You don't even need to be an existing Datel customer.
About Datel's Helping Hand Service
We're are focused on supporting the Sage community through this unprecedented time. We know that many of the businesses using Sage are operating with reduced workforces, furloughed teams and are navigating the pressure of staying operational.
Keeping your financial and business functions going within your Sage solution will provide insight, allow you to protect cash and keep your business operating as effectively as possible. As such, we have put together a free service that could help if you don’t currently have the Sage knowledge within the business.
The Datel Helping Hand service is free of charge and can be adopted by businesses using Sage 200, Sage Line 500, Sage 1000 and Sage X3 solutions that need some extra support during this uncertain time.
If signed up to the service, you will get access to our system experts to log Sage advice calls in the absence of your key users or provide additional help and advice for home workers using Sage and we will perform a weekly check of your server and system to ensure its health.
What is included?

A weekly server, software and SQL check
Our team will check disk space, event log errors, DB status per database and remove any old outstanding processes. They will also check your SQL database is up and running, check your SQL error log and that SQL jobs have run successfully. You will receive a weekly report confirming the checks have been successfully carried out.

Sage advice calls
In the absence of your key users or if operating a cut-down workforce, your operating team has access to advice from our Support experts on queries about standard Sage functionality and the ability to ask ‘How do I’ type questions. The team are on hand to walk inexperienced Sage users through key processes such as period and year ends to ensure you can keep your operations and finance functions running.

Assistance for home workers
We are here to help you to operate effectively with your Sage systems from home. Tasks such as setting up printers or re-directing document prints and helping with amendments to menus and permissions will ensure the team you do have working will be effective from home offices.
How do I access this free service?
This temporary service is available until 30th August 2020 to businesses that have furloughed staff. The service will be available on a first come first served basis, limited only be the capacity of the Datel team.
