Datel announces finalists for Inspiring Business Awards at Connect 2017

Datel is pleased to announce the finalists for the upcoming Inspiring Business Awards.

Launched to recognise the depth and breadth of success within our customer community, the Inspiring Business Awards will be hosted by Datel following the bi-annual Connect 2017 event: a full one‐day conference, exhibition and dinner for users of Sage solutions, taking place this year on 22nd June at the picturesque Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire.

Winners will be announced on the night, and the Awards will be presented by World Cup-winning England Rugby player Kyran Bracken, followed by an inspirational after-dinner speech, and Alan Simpson, Datel’s Executive Chairman.

The categories and finalists for the Awards are:

Inspiring New Customer

To recognise Datel customers with an inspirational success story that has led them to implement their new Sage solution from Datel.

Finalists:

• gap personnel Holdings Limited

  gap personnel is the UK’s third largest independent provider of talent to the industrial sector in the UK. Founded in 1997, the business has developed to offer nationwide coverage across seven major regions, with clients ranging from market-leading multinationals through to SMEs and start-ups.

• Connect 2 Cleanrooms

  Connect 2 Cleanrooms is a global specialist in cleanroom design and manufacture. Its ISO-classified controlled environments protect critical processes for a diverse range of sectors around the world, including electronics, energy, engineering, healthcare, and pharmaceutical.

• Quanta Dialysis Technologies

  Quanta is a research and development organisation specialising in the design manufacture of medical instruments and supplies. Quanta’s work is focused on improving the lives of dialysis patients with their ground-breaking SC+ machine.

Expanding the World of Sage

This award recognises businesses that may have utilised something from Datel’s Fusion range or from our carefully selected suite of third-party solutions to improve an area of their business.

Finalists:

• Resapol Ltd

  Resapol is the leading independent distributor of construction chemicals in the UK, operating from multiple sites across the country. The business sells over 9,000 product lines to builders’ merchants, the civil engineering and groundwork sectors, and specialist contractors.

• VinumTerra

  VinumTerra is a trade-only wine merchants, specialising in the import and distribution of a portfolio of wines from around the world since 1991, supplying wines to on-trade and independent wholesalers and retailers from its warehouses in London and Edinburgh.

• SVM Global

  SVM Global is the world leading reseller and distributor of corporate gift cards, e-codes and gift vouchers into the B2B and corporate gifting market. Each order is fulfilled on site, with over 15 million gift cards shipped each year.

This award recognises a business that is at the forefront of technology and is staying ahead of the curve in some way.

• Seal It Services Ltd t/a Bond It

  Established in 2002, Bond It is a manufacturer of high-quality building chemicals. The business services markets worldwide, including builders’ merchants, large-scale construction, DIY, and landscaping and gardening businesses.

• Pecan Deluxe Candy (Europe) Limited

  Pecan Deluxe Candy is a third-generation family-owned business, and the leading European supplier of confectionery and baked inclusions to the food industry, supplying to high street brands, quick service restaurants and market-leading manufacturers.

Inspiring Established Customer

This award will recognise a long standing Datel customer who has, with the help of their solution from Datel, achieved something exceptional.

Finalists:

• Nichols plc

  Nichols plc is an international soft drinks business with sales in over 85 countries, and turnover now in excess of £100 million. Their brands include Vimto, Panda and Sunkist, all of which are sold in the UK.

• Boodles

  Founded in 1798 and now a sixth generation family business, Boodles is Britain's leading retailer of fine diamond jewellery. Boodles’ stores are found across the UK, including on London’s prestigious Bond Street, department store Harrods, and The Savoy hotel.

• Armstrong Richardson

  Armstrong Richardson has been trading since 1925 and is now one of the largest family-run pet and equestrian wholesalers in the UK. The business provides regular deliveries of pet and equestrian feed, accessories and supplements to independent retailers nationwide.
