Datel appoints three new directors in response to company growth

Following our annual company meeting, Datel is very pleased to announce that we have promoted three of our managers to director roles.

Paolo Arcangelo has been promoted to Sage X3 Services Director, while Debra Leland is now Datel’s Customer Support Director and Tim Purcell is R&D Director.

Paolo Arcangelo was Datel’s Sage X3 Consultants Manager before taking on his new role as Sage X3 Services Director. Speaking about his new role, Paolo said: “I joined Datel eight years ago as a Sage ERP Consultant. Then, in 2010, when Sage X3 was released, my role became focused on providing customers with consultancy services based on Sage X3 specifically.

“As Datel’s focus on Sage X3 has grown throughout the years, so has the volume of staff providing Sage X3 consultancy to our customers. As a result, I was asked to lead the Sage X3 Consultants’ team, and it has been a pleasure to manage a team of such knowledgeable professionals in recent years.

Debra Leland, Customer Support Director, has worked at Datel since 2009 in the Support department. Before her promotion, Debra was Datel’s Customer Support Manager.

Commenting on her promotion, Debra said: “I am delighted to be promoted to Customer Support Director and I am looking forward to the opportunities this offers both me and the many professional people who report to me.

“Over the last seven years I have seen the department grow both in consultant numbers and revenue. I am privileged to work with the highly skilled, motivated and professional people that make up the Support and Managed Services teams. Their dedication, hard work and willingness to adapt has resulted in the outstanding customer service we deliver today.”

Having joined Datel in 1999, Tim Purcell worked in a number of roles at Datel before his recent appointment as R&D Director.

Explaining his experience at Datel, Tim said: “I first joined Datel as a developer in the Technical Development department in 1999, and seven years ago, we formed the R&D team with myself as manager – a team that has been at the forefront of innovation in the Sage community. The team has grown quickly and is a group of dedicated professionals who I genuinely look forward to working with every day.

“I am delighted to have been promoted to R&D Director, and I am excited at the future opportunities that this presents both for myself and the team.”
