Datel reaffirms its position as the UK’s largest Sage Business Partner with the acquisition of Ensphere Consulting

Datel, the UK’s largest Sage Business Partner, continues to expand as it absorbs Warrington-based Ensphere Consulting, a Sage reseller specialising in Sage 200, Sage 500, Sage 1000, Sage Enterprise Management (Sage X3) and Sage CRM.

The deal is the latest in a long line of acquisitions throughout Datel’s 37-year history, as the company further demonstrates its commitment to building its Sage expertise in the UK and supporting more businesses with Sage at the heart of their operations.

The absorption of Ensphere’s expert staff in the merger will ensure Ensphere customers continue to receive the high-quality service they have come to expect - and Datel customers will benefit from their experience and expertise in every interaction with their Sage business partner.

Over 90 businesses previously supported by Ensphere will join a customer base that includes a range of organisations across the UK, such as Vimto manufacturer Nichols PLC, regional airline Flybe and jewellery retailer Boodles.

Of the deal, Datel Executive Chairman Alan Simpson said: “I’m delighted we’ve completed the acquisition of Ensphere. It further consolidates Datel’s position as Sage’s largest partner in the UK.

Ensphere is one of the very few Sage partners who offer the same breadth of Sage product as Datel. I have always respected the quality of Ensphere’s staff and the services they provide."

“Ensphere is a perfect fit with Datel in terms of products and culture, which is why the well-being of Ensphere’s customers was always at the forefront of our discussion - and why Ensphere customers will continue to work with the people they know and trust.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Ensphere customers to Datel and developing a clear understanding of how their businesses operate to discover how we can help them further.

“I’m absolutely confident that this acquisition will be to the benefit of all parties.”
