Users of Sage 200 and Sage 1000 can now deploy out-of-the box eCommerce, thanks to a partnership between Datel and eCommerce author On Demand Solutions Ltd.
Unveiled at the Datel Connect 2015 conference for Sage customers, Fusion eStore provides a secure customer website that takes conventional webstore functionality to a new level, capitalising on the growing trend for transacting business online.
Fusion eStore offers a highly functional and integrated eCommerce solution for Sage users, which can be deployed rapidly and cost-effectively. Combining Datel and On Demand Solutions technology, the customer-facing website is integrated with the back-office Sage 200 or Sage 1000 system. As a result, the information that customers see, such as online product catalogue, stock levels, customer pricing and marketing promotions, is powered by up-to-date business information stored on Sage, significantly improving efficiency and reducing administration.
David Bristow, Sales Director at Surrey-based On Demand Solutions, outlines the potential of eCommerce: “While Fusion eStore is designed both for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) environments, it’s worth noting that industry watchers are predicting that by 2020 the value of B2B eCommerce will be twice that of B2C eCommerce. Business customers now expect the convenience and features of buying online that they enjoy as consumers. This represents an exciting commercial opportunity and we are delighted to work with Datel in offering the benefits of a ‘one-stop shop’ platform for Sage users.”
Businesses implementing Fusion eStore can empower their customers and sales staff to order online, view their order history, check delivery status, access invoices and documentation and perform other transactions, at a time and place of their choosing.
Alan Simpson, Executive Chairman of Datel comments: “There is growing demand from manufacturing, wholesale and distribution companies to extend their business online. Our partnership with On Demand Solutions will enable these businesses to capitalise on the huge potential of B2B eCommerce. Like their consumer counterparts, business purchasers tend to buy more when browsing online, while the cost of doing business with them falls as they can ‘self-serve’ to manage their account and orders.”
