Sports Information Services (SIS) enhances Sage 1000 with Fusion Excel Connect to assist with business efficiency

Supplier of sports betting services adopts innovative Datel solution

SIS has been a Datel customer for over 10 years and utilises its Sage 1000 solution to scale the business and stay ahead of the competition. To further amplify and enhance its use of Sage 1000, SIS has implemented a number of additional solutions including Fusion Excel Connect to improve the way its systems work.

SIS’s Group Financial Controller, Emyr Jones, discusses the businesses objectives for Fusion Excel Connect and how the solution is enhancing its use of business management solution Sage 1000.

“Our goal was to find a solution that would support our use of Sage 1000 and provide us with further control and traceability,” said Emyr. He continued, “Prior to adopting Fusion Excel Connect, we found it challenging to keep track of licences as data wasn’t kept in one place.” 

SIS is the leading global supplier of 24/7 betting services to retail and online operators. It has a mission to maximise value for bookmakers by creating short form betting events. Some of the customers it works closely with include, Ladbrokes, Coral, William Hill, Betfred and Paddy Power.

For SIS to be able to have more control over its reporting and drive more efficiency, the organisation selected Fusion Excel Connect to streamline entry of accounting data and bring it in line with business needs.

The system selection process

“We found that our existing solution did not meet our business requirements and we were paying for applications that we didn’t use. The IT support team were continuously assisting us with the manual input of codes and data, which became very frustrating and time-consuming.”
