What ambition means to Alan Simpson
For Datel's executive chairman, Alan Simpson, leaving his job to start his own business in 1981 was in his words "a big step" - but his ambition gave him the confidence to create a progressive technology business.
And he’s never looked back since, instead looking forward to the future of Datel and how it can continue to build on his original his vision from over 30 years ago: to help businesses throughout the UK reach their goals using Sage software, whatever they may be.
That was Alan's goal then, but that ambition has grown and evolved alongside Datel, as Alan discusses in the video below.
